Meet Our Pastor

Rev. Craig A. Hymon Sr.

Pastor Hymon serves as the proud Pastor of AGAPE AME Church in Gaithersburg, MD.

Pastor Craig Hymon Sr. is a passionate servant leader and devoted man of faith. Saved at age 12, Craig has committed his life to serving God, his family, and his community. He is happily married, the proud father of four children, and a joyful grandfather.

Pastor Hymon holds a B.S. in Business Administration from North Carolina Central University and a Master of Science from the University of Cincinnati. He is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity at Payne Theological Seminary.

In ministry, he served as Minister to Men at Reid Temple AME Church from May 2023 to April 2026. In April 2026 he was appointed to serve as Pastor of Agape AME Church in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Additionally at the Annual Conference he was also appointed as District Coordinator for the Sons of Allen Men’s Ministries overseeing men’s ministries in 2nd Episcopal District. Pastor Hymon’s personal motto, “Courageously Comfortable in Christ,” reflects his mission to inspire and empower others through faith and action.

 

Whether in the pulpit, the boardroom, or the community, Pastor Hymon is dedicated to leading with integrity, compassion, and purpose.
